I was having alot of trouble editing my first Mindmeister map. I beleive the problem was that I was first trying to use the demo and editing that as my original Mindmeister map. So I had to go back to the drawing board and create a new map, then I was able to edit without any problems. So here is my new Mindmeister map that I am adding new notes to as I go along reading the Chapters.

This is my favorite of the three articles I picked because it hits on an interesting observation that “People don’t learn from information; they learn from other people.” And it’s more about how people use technical writing to communicate with other people.

I found chpt 1 to be somewhat basic but still very insightful. I like using the mindmeister map for brainstorming. I’m not sure just yet about note-taking, I’m not that good with using the mindmeister tools yet. But we will see as we get into the next chapter.

As I filled out my Weekly Calendar I realized I do spend alot of time either in classes, at work, or tending to other responsibilities. However, I also felt that because my class assignment and deadline schedules fall on different days of the week that it gives me the time I need to organize my assignments and readings schedules. Not that I think I have time to mess around, I certainly do not this semester. I am going to be very very busy. But as long as I manage to keep up, or at least not get behind, all should go well. And except for Spring Break, it looks like I certainly won’t be doing any weekend traveling until after finals. I suppose I can wait a little while longer.

My name is Nicole Rogers, my friends just call me Nikki. I am taking this class because I need a literacy course to graduate but I am interested in learning about multimedia avenues. It’s been fun so far. I’m trying hard to graduate in May so I can get back to doing more of what I really love to do, traveling. I have such fun friends that also love to travel. But my family, my sisters, brothers, and nephews are all my absolute favorites.
